QUESTION:    How do I nominate a litter?

ANSWER:
You must obtain an official form. You can get one from the Futurity Coordinator. You can
e-mail your address. Futurity matters are handled once a week or so. Give yourself plenty of time for the US Post office to work.

You can also download a copy in PDF format. PDF is Adobe's Portable Document Format. To view and print PDF files, a free reader application is required. Click on the Adobe icon directly below to go the Adobe site. After you download and install the free reader, come back to this page (bookmark it or place it in your Favorites list) and download the actual form.

No matter how you get the form, you must print it out, fill it and return it via U.S. Mail. If your nomination is postmarked prior to birth of the litter, nomination fee is $25. You can also nominate a litter up to 6 months after birth by paying a penalty of $25 for a total nomination fee of $50. A second fee of $5 per puppy is due before March 1 immediately preceding the Futurity competition. The Futurity Coordinator will send you a confirmation of your nomination which must be completed and returned with this payment. Finally, KCA requires an additional fee with the entry form for the National Specialty show. Currently, that's $6. This fee is used to defray KCA's expenses for the judge, ribbons, etc. of the actual competition.
